Even in the current pandemic situation, the FLOIM consortium keeps working towards its goal of developing new, flexible process chains for the manufacturing of embedded optoelectronic components with complex optical functionalities. During the last 12 months, the features generated in the first year have been improved to meet the End Users’ requirements, as well as replicated by Injection Moulding, confirming the suitability of the micromachining technologies studied so far. In addition, a pilot line has been designed and is currently being manufactured, where the developed process chains will be eventually validated.
